About Me

Long before I found professional surrogacy, surrogacy found me.

For a number of years before my training I had various women ask me to be a practice partner to explore and process something they were feeling, whether in emotional connection, in physical intimate connection, or having a “practice relationship” altogether. Talking about this recurring phenomenon with a trusted therapist in 2017 he recommended that I look into surrogacy as a profession.

Until that conversation, I had not even heard of partner surrogacy. In its current form it has been around since Masters & Johnson used surrogates for their research in the 1970’s. The two main reasons that I sought out training and certification with the International Professional Surrogates Association (IPSA) is their credentialed lineage through legitimate research and practice, and the care and thoughtfulness that their leadership brings to their clients. A surrogate partner needs to be someone that brings great care and thoughtfulness to every connection and I am very grateful to have been educated with empathy as a cornerstone of my surrogacy practice.

After a rigorous application process with IPSA I completed their immersive training in the spring of 2018 in Murrieta, CA. Since my training I have become a certified surrogate partner intern and doubled down my efforts to become masterful in the field. I’ve read countless books and articles on somatic therapy, processing trauma, and human development. I have attended numerous practicum courses on human connection, non-violent communication, authentic relating, and personal coaching.  I bring everything I can to my surrogacy practice, offering you all of the care, thoughtfulness, and professionalism needed to make a positive change.

Since my training I have become a certified surrogate partner intern and doubled down my efforts to become masterful in the field. I’ve read countless books and articles on somatic therapy and processing trauma, as well as human development and being able to understand the needs and drives of all people. I have also taken numerous practicum courses on human connection, communication, and trauma processing. I bring everything I can to my surrogacy practice, hoping to give clients all of the care, thoughtfulness, wisdom, and professionalism needed to make a positive change.

My more conventional education consists of a B.A in Justice Administration from Hawaii Pacific University, 2006 and 10 ½ years with the United States Coast Guard as a helicopter avionics technician. In my off time, I pursue my other love as a dedicated small-scale farmer and market gardener. When I am not in connection with people I am in connection with the earth. I believe that healthier soil produces healthier food, and that healthier food produces healthier and happier people.

When you and I connect, we will connect as people. We will both come into this with all of our habits, fears, and desires to develop a relationship. Even though I am a practice partner with you, the feelings and the sensations that we both feel are very real. No real progress is made without seeing each other as people and connecting at a deeper level. The value of this work is that I am a person and it is only in the intersection of you and I, that we will both be able to open, connect, and do the Work that is needed.
